Team ABC Boulder Elite is a competitive climbing team consisting of really good athletes working together to produce great results. These talented and hard-working athletes focus on honing flexibility, core strength, finger strength, body-awareness, mental preparation and injury prevention in order to perform at a high level at competitions and outside on rock.

Repetition, refinement, and mastery of acquired skills provide these athletes the opportunity to excel at the highest level. Team ABC Elite climbers have a high climbing IQ and are the leaders of our program; each athlete understands the importance of mentorship and how to be a Team ABC ambassador to younger climbers, to Team ABC sponsors and to the sport of climbing.

Elite Team athletes are required to commit to the USA Climbing annual season by competing in at least three competitions per Bouldering season and three comps per Sport & Speed season: two locals and one Regionals competition (for a total of six events per school year, minimum). Elite Team athletes are strongly encouraged to work toward and compete at Divisionals, Nationals and International events.

In addition to traveling to events, our Elite Team is encouraged to attend Team ABC’s local, national and international training camps in world class climbing venues from the Front Range to Rifle, Hueco Tanks, Spain, France and beyond…

Assessment Period

Team ABC requires prospective climbers to partake in a two week assessment period. This entails participating in Team practice and workouts. This gives climbers an opportunity to make sure the Team is a good fit for them, while allowing our coaches to assess their ability and team dynamics in a natural setting.
