Summer Camps
ABC Kids Climbing has expanded our selection of climbing camps and trips! Our expertise with recreational classes and competitive training has opened up many exciting opportunities, and we are pleased to now offer a range of indoor camps throughout the year, as well as outdoor climbing trips both nationally and internationally.
Indoor Summer Camps
ABC offers indoor camps for the following ages: 4-5 year olds; 6-8 year olds; and 9+ years. While kids are placed in camps according to age and ability, all ages may come together occasionally for group activities. ABC summer camps are designed for beginner and intermediate climbers - kids can develop a variety of skills and have a blast! Campers will work on body awareness, footwork and route reading to develop efficiency and confidence in both bouldering and roped climbing. More advanced climbers will work on a variety of techniques that may include dynamic movement, edging, and drop knees. Each camper will have a climbing log to track goals and skills, and at the end of camp all ABC climbers will receive a certificate demonstrating their achievements.
Games such as Hot Lava, Toy Hunts, Rescue-a-Beanie, Freeze, Dyno Day and musical climbing are utilized to teach and encourage agility, balance and coordination. Older kids will enjoy such technique-building games such as Add-On, Pointer, and Blind Climb. In addition to climbing, kids play cooperative games designed to increase confidence on our unique Challenge Course (complete with slack lines, spider webs, rope climbs and obstacle courses). Daily art projects may range from creating tie dye t-shirts to decorating chalk bags and beanbag balls, while theme days and special events add to the fun!
Outdoor Camps
ABC offers both national and international climbing camps. For international camps, ABC will help campers and their families navigate the necessary paperwork.

A Different Schedule
The Spanish eat dinner much later in the evening. The whole day is actually shifted much to the later half of the day. To be in sync with this we will start our climbing day with the kids later (around noon) and climb until the evening. This gives us a chance to sleep in, climb in the shade in the afternoon and then enjoy the late Spanish dinnertime (starting at 9pm is normal, if not early). While the different schedule can seem like a challenge consider it part of the adventure!
